Dorian Schwartz was born in 1992, in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, and currently lives and works in Toronto, ON. She graduated in 2014 with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg, completed her Digital Media Marketing postgraduate certificate at the University of Toronto in 2015, and is currently a Master of Counselling Psychology candidate at Yorkville University.
In 2013, Dorian Schwartz was chosen by England’s Glydnebourne National Tour Art Gallery Competition to be recognized as one of 3 talented and young emerging artists of the future. She has had her work exhibited in the Glyndebourne Opera House in East Sussex, England, as well as in Eastbourne’s Towner Gallery.
Dorian’s work serves as an artistic exploration of the way in which the human psyche relates to the limits imposed upon it through society. These messages are conveyed abstractly by the use of colour, shape, structure, and illustration. She works primarily with acrylic and ink.
